TEHRAN – The Islamic Republic commander of the Iranian Army Air Force has announced that all air force fighter jets are equipped with domestically produced ammunition, advanced equipment and long-range missiles, indicating a great advance in the country’s military self-sufficiency.
Speaking on Thursday at a command change ceremony for Dezful’s fourth tactical fighter base (Vahdati Airbase), Brigadi said the Air Force is currently ready for peaks and ready to carry out missions assigned by the commander.
“The powerful air force of the Islamic Republic of Iran is in its highest level of preparation,” he said. “We are fully capable and ready to defend the country’s skies with maximum strength and determination.”
General Vahedi highlighted important advances in various sectors of the Air Force, including maintaining and overhauling aircraft, training and development of human resources, and acquiring the latest defense techniques. “Thanks to the tireless efforts of our staff, every fighter jet in the Air Force is equipped with state-of-the-art locally produced weapons and long-range missile systems,” he said.
He went on to reassure the public of the Air Force’s unwavering commitment to national defense. “We give strict promises to the noble people of Iran. The brave personnel of the Air Force will protect the sky of our sacred Islamic Republic and our beloved homeland to the last drop of their blood.”
The event also marked Brigadier General Farshid Chegini, who was officially appointed as the new commander of Dezhulu Base, to take over the resignation officer at a ceremony attended by senior military officials.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that they would not hesitate to strengthen their military capabilities, including missile capabilities, completely defensive, saying the Islamic Republic’s defense capabilities would never be subject to negotiations.
