On Saturday, President Masuud Pezeschkian expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of his recent trip to Yerevan, in a meeting with Armenian Security Council secretary Amen Grigolyan, and described it as successful and fruitful. By mentioning constructive consultations and positive agreements between senior officials of both countries during the visit, he emphasized that concerns of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the recent development of the Caucasus region, particularly the presence of foreign forces in this sensitive region, were primarily billed in terms of explanations provided by civil servants Ahman and assururance.
The President further satisfied the special attention to the North and South Corridors and Armenian projects, calling its completion an important step to strengthening economic and political convergence among Eurasian Union member states. He emphasized that accelerating the implementation of bilateral agreements, particularly in the field of transportation between Iran and Armenia, is one of the major outcomes of travel and one of the highlights of consultations with Armenian leaders.
Pezeschkian emphasized that setting goals today can create a brighter perspective and create a broader perspective for both countries. He added that the path of expanding trade and co-investment and co-investment between Iran and Armenian businessmen must further promote economic exchanges between the two countries to rise to several times the current levels. He said that by relying on the capabilities of academics and academic institutions beyond the exchange of goods, the two countries can move towards co-production of innovative and competitive products in areas such as advanced technology, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
The president emphasized, “We must act in such a way that foreign powers cannot disrupt the friendly and strategic relationships of both countries.”
Amen Grigoryan expressed his gratitude for his attention to the development of bilateral relations by the President of Iran, calling this approach valuable to his country. He emphasized that President Pezeshkian’s visit to Yerevan is particularly important to the Armenian government. Meanwhile, all aspects of bilateral relations were thoroughly reviewed, clearly defining the pathways for future cooperation.
Armenia’s Security Council Secretary highlighted the strategic nature of Iran-Aramenian relations and announced that Yerevan is ready to sign a comprehensive strategic cooperation document outlining the long-term vision of these ties.
Grigorian also points out the active presence of Iranian companies in Armenia and hopes that his country’s infrastructure and construction projects will be involved and completed. He added that Armenia is ready to increase trade volume with the Republic of Iran several times its current levels.
