Speaking to Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh on Thursday, Pakpur praised the achievements of Iran’s defence sector and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to maintaining military strength amidst regional tensions.
“The great and proud achievement of the Islamic Republic’s defense industry is the fruit of faith, self-faith, innovation and the tireless efforts of the country’s dedicated and revolutionary youth,” Pakpour said according to the news television website.
“These efforts led by renowned leaders have shaped our country’s path of defensive independence and strength. Today, relying on these capabilities, the Islamic Republic is at the peak of deterrent.”
Referring to the recent 12-day US-Israel war, Pakpur said, “This sacred defense experience has once again proven that its strategy of comprehensive defensive building and reliance on domestic capabilities prevents the enemy from achieving malicious ends and stops them from new provocations.”
He further emphasized the importance of close coordination between the Ministry of Defense and the military.
“I am confident that by continuing along this path, we will ensure a brighter, more glorious future for the Islamic revolution and the lasting security of the country,” he said.
Pakpour also issued a warning to the Iranian enemy.
“The Islamic Republic’s military is vigilant and fully prepared to protect the independence, security and territorial integrity under the leadership and commander of its prominent leadership.
“A miscalculation by the enemy is filled with a critical, quick and regretful response,” he said.
Iran prioritized the development of indigenous military capabilities in the face of ongoing regional challenges and international sanctions. The country observes August 22 as Defense Industry Day, commemorating the efforts and sacrifices of the defense sector.
