The Foreign Minister said he is working to consider bilateral relations and regional issues during his trip to Islamabad and put cooperation between Iran and Pakistan on a better path.
Speaking to reporters when he arrived at Islamabad International Airport with the goal of an official visit to Pakistan, Araguchi said the relationship between the two countries is very important, as it is also important to Iran with other countries in the region, including India.
A top Iranian diplomat said the situation in the region is extremely important to Iran and emphasizes Tehran’s call to reduce tensions between India and Pakistan.
Araguchi further said he plans to hold close consultations in Pakistan. “I will meet with the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and local issues will be reviewed.”
