General Bagheri praised Pakistan’s determination to fight the notorious terrorist organization Jaish al-Adl (known in Iran as Jaish al-Durm) and stressed the need for coordinated cross-border patrol operations and joint exercises. did.
General Bagheri also expressed Iran’s readiness for joint naval exercises with Pakistan.
He pointed out that close cooperation between major actors in the Islamic world, such as Iran, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, is in the interests of regional countries.
The Iranian general also stressed the need for efforts to ensure peace and stability in neighboring Afghanistan.
Maj. Gen. Baeri also held another meeting with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday.
The Iranian general led a military delegation to visit Islamabad at the official invitation of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff.
