In a statement on Tuesday, Esmaeiru Bakaei condemned the fatal terrorist attacks in Pahargam.
He condemned the heinous conduct as a serious crime for surprising violations of all international, legal and humanitarian norms.
An Iranian spokesman expressed his sincere sympathy for the victims’ families and gave his sincere wishes to the government and the people of India.
Baqaei condemned all forms and symptoms of terrorism, the ministry’s website reported.
He also highlighted the need for cooperation and coordination at the regional and international levels to prevent terrorism and ensure prosecution and punishment of its perpetrators and sponsors.
Indian police said several tourists suffered gunshot wounds in the terrorist attack on Tuesday while visiting Baisalang Meadow, about 5km from Kashmir’s resort town Pahargam.
Police said at least 26 people have been killed and no group has yet to claim responsibility for the attack.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned “heinous conduct” and vowed that the attackers will “take trial.”
