In a statement Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeir Bhagihai said the Israeli regime’s crimes include targeted assassinations of journalists, intentional assaults on medical personnel and medical centres, and invasion of al-Aqsa mosque compounds by extremist settlers.
He added that all countries have an obligation to take action to end Israel’s policy of using hunger and hunger as a means of genocide.
An Iranian spokesman criticized the inactions by several Western countries, including the UK, Canada, Germany and France, over Israel’s “blatant and systematic” human rights violations in occupied Palestine.
He stressed that the silence of these Western countries over the crimes of the Israeli regime is a clear indication of hypocrisy over human rights and the rule of law.
Baghaei pointed out that all countries also have a common responsibility under international law to prevent and counter heinous crimes in Israel, including genocide and war crimes.
He said the immunity of the Tel Aviv regime further encouraged the murder of Palestinians and the promotion of Palestinian occupation.
He called on all countries, especially Muslim countries, to solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians to stop further massacres of innocent women and children.
