Esmail Baghaei condemned the Israeli regime’s latest drone attack on the village of Al-Musayri on Saturday. The attack targeted machinery and equipment used to clear debris and rebuild residential areas damaged in previous attacks.
He described the ongoing violation of the ceasefire agreement and Israel’s military invasion as “a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law,” and criticized the inaction of the United States and France, which claim to be the guarantors of the ceasefire.
Mr. Bagai called on the international community to take decisive and effective measures to curb the Zionist regime’s illegal acts and acts of aggression against Lebanon and other countries in the region.
Al-Mayadeen correspondent in southern Lebanon reported early Saturday that one person had been martyred and five others injured in a recent wave of attacks by Israel targeting the area between Musairi and al-Najriyah.
Israeli raids specifically targeted drilling equipment and bulldozers operating in the area. The shelling disrupted the road connecting the cities of Saida and Nabatieh.
The Israeli occupation continues to violate the ceasefire declaration through persistent shelling and targeted attacks on various areas of Lebanon. The attack on the building facilities was carried out as part of an effort to disrupt reconstruction efforts in southern Lebanon.
