Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), said the recent military invasion of the country’s nuclear facilities in June by the Zionist Israeli regime and the United States did not cause any casualties or result in any loss of personnel. He stressed that Iran’s nuclear industry “remains completely safe” and that all staff are “protected.”
Responding to a question about the person assassinated during the attack who previously worked in the nuclear field, Eslami clarified that the victims were “not military personnel or AEOI personnel.”
He said they are full professors at Shahid Beheshti University and play important roles in academic and research projects. “These people had published about 500 prestigious scientific papers, but the bloodthirsty Israeli regime assassinated them in their homes,” he added.
Commenting on the status of reconstruction at the site of the attack, Eslami said that the nuclear industry remains unfazed by its mission and mission and that recovery efforts are progressing.
In response to a question about the presence of IAEA inspectors, Eslami stressed that “there are currently no inspectors in Iran.”
