At the end of the trip to Vienna, speaking at the 69th General Meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency, head of the Atomic Energy Agency of Iran (AEOI), Mohammad Eslami said, “It was a good trip and positive measures have been taken.”
“Given the ongoing psychological, media and political campaigns, as well as the intense pressures exerted by the US and Zionist movements on our country, our presence at this point was essential. We had to be on earth, most importantly, to present facts about the situation in our country and, most importantly, to highlight the dangers that have influenced international law and the ambition of institutions.
Eslami said, “Our presence ensures that the stage is not open and the one-sided narrative that attempts to portray Iran as a lack of transparency and deviate from its nuclear commitment did not unanswered.”
Iran emphasized the need to establish new procedures within the safeguard system as such mechanisms have not been envisaged, adding that “specifically it is essential to clarify how the testing system works when a country’s nuclear facilities are exposed to military attacks.”
