The Islamic Republic’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the recent approval of the Israeli Knesset of a bill aimed at impose sovereignty of the occupation regime on the West Bank and the Jordan Valley.
In a statement issued on the X Account on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the move as yet another indication of the expansionist and hegemonic nature of the Israeli regime.
In line with the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the continued blatant human rights abuses in the West Bank, the action makes the administration’s ultimate goal more clear than ever before.
The statement added that it is not aware of restrictions on the Israeli regime’s pursuit of this ominous end, and that it ignores UN resolutions and international law.
It also reminded the international community of its legal, moral and political responsibility to support the Palestinian rights to self-determination and liberation from occupation and apartheid.
The ministry warned that international organisations, particularly the UN Security Council, would burn the regime by fulfilling their obligation to halt genocide and war crimes, escalating lawlessness and aggression in the West Bank and beyond.
The statement also said that all governments, particularly regional and Islamic governments, are obliged to take urgent and effective action to force the Israeli regime and its supporters, particularly the United States, to stop the killing, warming and expansionist ambitions of the occupation regime.
