Fiba Asia Cup 2025 will take place in Jeddah from August 5-17, and since 1997 it will be the first time that the Persian Gulf state will host FIBA’s flagship event in Asia, the Tehran Times reported.
The 16 teams are each divided into four groups, four teams.
The groups are as follows:
Group A: Qatar, Australia, Korea, Lebanon
Group B: Guam, Japan, Syria, Iran
Group C: China, Jordan, India, Saudi Arabia
Group D: Taipei, New Zealand, Iraq, Philippines, China
During the group phase, teams compete against each other in a one-round robin style. The first-ranked teams in each group are eligible directly for the quarterfinals. The second and third place teams in each group will play in the quarter-final qualifying rounds.
The final stages of the competition progress from the top-class finals and are in a single elimination format.
