“We do not trust any negotiations with the United States that claim to secure our national interests,” Foreign Minister Esmail Khatib said Wednesday at a meeting in Iran’s western Chahalmahal and Bakhtiari provinces.
According to Khatib, the US government’s insistence on pursuing talks with Iran masks “animosity toward the Iranian state.”
The official cited widespread efforts by the United States, the Israeli regime and other Israel’s enemies to subvert, sow chaos and disrupt the state during the 12-day war waged by Washington and Tel Aviv in June.
According to Press TV, he pointed out that the unprovoked invasion was preceded by the enemy’s long-standing attempts to isolate Iran through massive propaganda, turn the world against Iran, and turn the population away from Iran’s Islamic revolution.
The minister added that throughout the course of the invasion, the adversary sought to conduct comprehensive hybrid operations by drawing on the West’s latest technology and warfare knowledge.
He said the war was also preceded by multiple joint training exercises, the organization of counterrevolutionary elements, the resurgence of terrorist networks, and the mobilization of the world’s media arsenal to spread Iranophobia and siaphobia.
The opponents were even planning to send all Takfir terrorists released from Syria and Afghanistan into the country, officials noted.
He also emphasized that more than 50 foreign intelligence agencies contribute to hostile activities.
According to Khatib, these developments, and similar incursions carried out by the Israeli regime with American support in areas of the world such as Gaza and Lebanon, debunk the enemy’s so-called “peace through force” claims.
“The whole world now understands the true meaning of criminals’ ‘peace through force,'” he said, noting that this claim actually translates to “obedience through crime.”
However, Khatib praised the strategic skill displayed by Islamic Revolution leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the successful defense and retaliatory operations carried out by the Iranian military, and the deep-rooted unity of the country’s various ranks to prevent hybrid warfare.
