Once the men’s U16 event in Thailand ends on July 19th, the focus will then be on AVC’s final AVC Championship of the Year, the AVC Women’s U16 Volleyball Championship.
According to the Tehran Times, the tournament featuring 16 teams also offers three qualifying spots for the 2026 FIVB Girls ‘U17 World Championship.
Similar to the Asian Men’s U16 event in Thailand, the 2nd Asian Women’s U16 Championship, held in Jordan, will be split into four pools of four teams each for the qualifying round robin.
After the qualifying, the top two teams in each pool are then split into two pools: pool E (teams in pool A and pool C) and pool F (teams in pool B and pool D). The same system also applies to the classification of 9th to 16th, with the team splitting the third and fourth place of each pool into pool G (teams in pool A and pool C) and pool H (teams in pool B and pool D).
