The Iranian Minister made this comment while speaking at the 8th Global Health Exhibition held under the exciting theme “Investing in Health” from October 27 to 30, 2025 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh.
Highlighting the achievements of Iranian pharmaceutical companies, he said, “Today, Iran is one of the strongest and most advanced pharmaceutical countries in the region, and has been able to meet the majority of the country’s pharmaceutical needs through domestic production, from generic drugs to biotechnology and biosimilar products.”
According to the Iranian Minister, “High production capacity, innovative leadership in cell therapy and biopharmaceuticals, skilled human resources, and meeting international quality standards at competitive costs are among the outstanding characteristics of Iran’s medical sector.”
Zafarghandi added: “Iran is ready to participate in foreign investment in the health sector and welcomes constructive cooperation in the sector by providing adequate infrastructure and a large market.”
Finally, the Minister of Health highlighted the synergies between science and investment between Iran and Saudi Arabia, saying, “Let us combine our countries’ scientific capabilities, capital, and perspectives to build regional strength in the health sector and create a healthier future for our people.”
