He has written to the heads of several London-based international organizations, including the Executive Director of the International Petroleum Pollution Compensation Fund (IOPC Fund), Executive Director (IGC), Executive Director of the International Sugar Organization (ISO), Executive Director of the International Petroleum Pollution Compensation Fund (IOPC Fund), Executive Director of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Executive Director of the International Sugar Organization (ISO).
Mousavi described the Israeli regime’s air, missiles and drone attacks as a blatant violation of the international charter and strict norms of international law against residential areas, public facilities, critical infrastructure, and Iran’s peaceful nuclear centres.
He also warned of the consequences of Israeli invasion of Iran against regional security and the non-forced regime.
Musabi said that referring to the Israeli regime’s attack on Assarue’s Iranian petrochemical and gas facilities, poses a direct threat to maritime security and maritime satellite communications chains, putting the functions of emergency warning systems and maritime safety at risk.
Assarue’s attacks on coastal areas are in conflict with obligations under the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Maritime and the Security Code of International Ships and Port Facilities (ISPS Code).
He also warned of the impact of military attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, highlighting that these centres are under full supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), serving an exclusively peaceful purpose.
He emphasized that Iran’s Islamic Republic will exercise its inherent right to self-defense in protecting sovereignty and national security through proportional measures, pursuant to Article 51 of the UN Charter, and will continue to defend itself until these acts of aggression are completely stopped.
Musabi urged international organisations to take an immediate, firm and clear stance when condemning Israel’s attacks on Iran’s nuclear, energy and maritime infrastructure.
