Tehran, Minsk Sign Technological Mou
In 2023, Iran and Belarus signed a memorandum on supporting technical cooperation.
Amin-Reza Khaleqian, former head of international affairs at Pardis Technology Park, and Oleg Tabanyukhov, deputy director of Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park, have signed the agreement, Irib reported.
The MOU highlights expanding technical cooperation, holding joint events, participating in mutual exhibitions, sharing technical knowledge, dispatching technical delegations and increasing co-investment.
The agreement was reached following a comprehensive cooperation roadmap signed by late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his Belarusian Alexander Lukashenko in March.
In March 2023, the former vice president said that unilateral Western sanctions on countries seeking independence provided a great opportunity to rely on the expertise of their own scientists.
Comments were made by Mohammad Mokbah at a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who visited Tehran for two days.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to break quite a bit of evidence in the field of science and technology by overcoming these sanctions,” Moffbar said.
He said the two countries may utilize Iran’s experience dealing with sanctions to strengthen their cooperation.
“Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasizes the need to quickly take effect of the Iranian-Berals Agreement,” Mokhber said. He added that “the north-south transport corridor offers great potential for cooperation between the two states.”
He said that the two countries have signed a comprehensive cooperation roadmap and seven Mouss to establish a new level of interaction for different sectors.
