After Thid, Iranian para-athletes were Fisnied at the 2025 World Para-Athletics Championship, Alias Hadizadeh, head of the Iranian Para-Athlete Association, praised the performance of Iranian competitors, the Tehran Times reported.
“The performance of our athletes has marked a historic achievement of competition. We have never reached such a scale before. Our best results are four gold medals in a single campaign, and we have achieved at most three gold in Paris, Kobe, Dubai and London.
“We hope that our athletes will continue this momentum and perform strongly at the 2026 Asian Games in Nogoya and the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles. We would like to thank all the athletes, coaches and supporters who have stood by the side of the team in Delhi and continued to win,” he added.
The event took place from September 26th to October 5th at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, India.
Brazil has broken through the medal table with 44 medals (15 gold, 20 silver, 9 bronze). China won 13 gold, 22 silver and 17 bronze (52 medals in total), but finished second as they have two fewer gold than Brazil.
