The Iran proposed meeting will be held on Friday, March 7th at the organizational headquarters in Riyadh, focusing on Gaza.
It has attracted the attention of the organisation of Islamic cooperation as the most important organisation in the Islamic world and is cited as the main objective behind organising the emergency meetings on issues that are of primary concern to the Islamic community and countries.
Earlier last week, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Fahan Al Saud, discussed the upcoming meeting of the Regional Development and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
During the call, the two ministers considered the latest developments in the region and exchanged opinions on the agenda of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, which is scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The OIC, a 57-member organisation aimed at strengthening solidarity among Islamic countries, is expected to address key issues affecting the Muslim world, including political, economic and security challenges.
