According to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi met with Fernando Arias, Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), during his visit to The Hague for the annual meeting of the parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention.
The conference, held on the margins of the conference, brought together senior representatives of member states to review the implementation of the Convention and address key challenges in global chemical disarmament.
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi arrived in The Hague early Tuesday morning to attend the 30th Conference of the Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention.
During this international meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will deliver a speech outlining the Islamic Republic of Iran’s position and views on the main topics of the meeting.
During his stay, Araghchi also plans to meet and hold talks with the Dutch Foreign Minister.
