President Donald Trump not only betrayed Iran, but also deceived his own country, said a top Iranian diplomat.
“We face attacks from Americans and Iran will condemn this aggression on the strongest possible conditions.”
“This attack is considered a violation of international law and Security Council resolution 2231.”
“Trump succumbed to the criminal’s demands.”
“The United States is not diplomatic and only understands the language of force and threats. They have shown that they do not respect the international charter or international law, and that they have not complied with any of them.”
“Last night’s attack showed that the Zionist regime had not succeeded in achieving its targets in the Iranian attack and is now in question, and that the US is trying to support this administration and its leader.”
“The extent of damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities is not important. What matters is the essence of the attack. This issue cannot be ignored.”
“The door to negotiation should always be open, but that’s not the case now. My country is invaded and we have to respond.”
He refused to announce what Iran would do in response to the American invasion.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Aragut said that Tehran was still receiving messages from the Americans. “Respond to these messages if necessary.”
“We have a variety of paths. The Islamic Republic of Iran has never trusted Western countries, even in dialogue and negotiations. Now there are many clear reasons to reinforce this mistrust.”
He also criticized President Donald Trump for his election promise to end wars in West Asia and the world. As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed US military action against Iran, Araguc said Trump responded to requests from “criminals seeking invasion of the wealth of other countries.”
“We will never compromise on Iran’s sovereignty and independence. The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to protect its land, sovereignty and people, and will not only stand up to military-driven American attacks, but will use all possible measures necessary to take other measures in this regard.”
