TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei announced on Friday that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut will visit Oman in the coming days.
Araguchi travels to Muscat at the invitation of the Omani government and will take part in the highly anticipated 8th Indian Ocean Lim Summit (IORA).
The summit, which will be held in Muscat from February 16th to 17th, 2025, is co-hosted by Oman, India and Singapore. This year’s event, “Now to a New Vision for Maritime Partnerships,” highlights the inclusion and the ruse of new partnerships within the maritime sector. The summit aims to promote greater cooperation between nations and organizations, address local challenges, and promote sustainable development across the Indian Ocean region.
In addition to giving speeches at the summit, Foreign Minister Araguchi will engage in bilateral meetings with other senior officials and foreign ministers who attended the event, further strengthening diplomatic relations and promoting joint partnerships.
