Mohammad Eslami described nuclear technology as a strategic and powerful field that is essential for scientific advancement. This is an area that hegemonic forces, particularly those that the United States attempted to monopolize through power and exorbitant restrictions.
“The West, and in particular the United States, have consistently used all possible measures, including obstruction and terrorism, to halt Iran’s nuclear advancement,” he said.
He claimed that Iran has achieved full mastery over the nuclear fuel cycle. This encourages Western countries to “unbearable” development and strengthen their hostility.
“Nuclear technology affects all science fields. At its core is enrichment. Without enrichment, there is no nuclear fuel, no fuel or nuclear industry.”
Eslami criticised the double standards in the West, saying the West should not have its own reactor in Iran. “They claim we can have a power plant, but we have to import fuel at all times. Iran’s attitude towards this is always clear.”
