Major General Mohsen Rezai, who took over as commander of the IRGC following the victory of the country’s Islamic Revolution in 1979, made a statement in a broadcast interview on Tuesday.
The successful retaliation, he said, returned to the famous phrase, “I can challenge you,” once uttered by Lieutenant General Kasem Soleimani, the former commander of the Legion’s Quds forces.
“This has been proven really,” Rezai said throughout Iran’s counter strike.
On June 13, the Israeli regime launched a series of airstrikes against Iran, supported by unprecedented support from the US military and Intelligence Newsletter.
Iranian forces responded quickly, first with comprehensive defensive operations and then unleashed a quick, relentless counterattack.
Codename Operation Trumis III, retaliation struck by catastrophic precision deep within the occupied Palestinian territory, targeting critical nuclear, military and industrial sites.
Hundreds of ballistic missiles, many of them supersonic and multiple warheads, rain fell alongside a swarm of armed drones, occupying the most important deep sea ports, including the regime’s economic centre, Tel Aviv.
Under strong pressure from uneven retaliation, the administration deployed its entire array of missile systems and rushed to seek a ceasefire just 12 days later, despite enlisting some of America’s most advanced missile platforms.
In particular, Israeli media said the aftermath of the attack left the destroyed Batyam city, similar to the war-torn landscape of the Gaza Strip, along the Mediterranean coastline of occupied Palestinian territory.
Additionally, Iranian forces targeted Aldeid, the US’s most important regional air force base in Qatar.
“There is no country that will hit our profits like Iran did.”
Rezaei emphasized that “we will not carry out such a strike,” referring to the target of the counterattacking Al-udeid.
“Even countries like China aren’t bold enough to carry out such a strike.”
Meanwhile, officials have dismissed the claims of American officials that only one of the Iranian projectiles had hit the facility, saying Qatari sources are reporting five to six explosions on the site.
“Iran ascended to the top”
The overall performance amounted to a “show of strength,” in addition to leading to “an increase in Iran’s height in the region.”
“In a way, we have begun to rise towards the top. But what’s important is that even though Israel and the United States are trying to stop us, it doesn’t stop.”
Retaliation has proven to more regional states that the Islamic Republic is “reliable.”
For us, Israel’s frustration
Additionally, rezaei has listed several instances of failures experienced by the US and Israeli regimes in combination with attacks.
He pointed out how the duo spent a year planning their designs for the offense, and even practiced doing it in places like Greece and the Mediterranean.
But they failed badly for their most important purpose, characterized by hurting the leader of the Islamic Republic or its members of the Supreme National Security Council, the former commander said.
Washington and Tel Aviv have stopped the subsequent goals: creating a state of chaos and counter-revolutionary elements into the capital, Tehran, leading to the collapse of the country.
Furthermore, similar to what happened in Syria last year following the Israeli escalation of Israeli terrorists, it failed to carry out a massive bombing of Iran’s entire military infrastructure.
Rezaei has identified the last purpose of the administration and Washington not recognizing Iranian airspace as under their control.
Officials further pointed out the $20 billion price tag against the administration and how the US spent more than two years at astronomical costs, as another example of the US’s failure.
But the enemy didn’t want to confess their frustration, he said, “All Israel’s defeat amounts to our victory, including the costs borne by the regime, the collapse of its security and the failure to achieve its objectives.”
