Tehran – Iranian students won gold, two silver and bronze medals in the 37th edition of the 37th edition of Informatics (IOI) held in Sucre, Bolivia.
The event begins on July 27th and ends on August 3rd. A total of 330 contestants from 84 countries participated in this year’s event.
Amir-Ali Asgari won the gold medal, Mani Zare and Hamed Ghafari won the silver medal, while Kiarash Rezaei won the bronze medal, Isna reported.
The IOI is one of several international science olympiads held annually around the world. Talent high school students from various countries compete in this honorable algorithm competition to hone their informatics skills, including problem analysis, algorithm design, data structure design, programming, and testing.
Each participating country will select a team of up to four contestants with a leader. Teams compete individually on two intensely competitive days, solving complex problems within a limited time, testing creativity, algorithmic knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
Iran won gold, two silver and bronze medals at the 36th International Olympics (IOI), ranking ninth in 96 countries. It was hosted by Egypt.
