In a statement marking the anniversary of the Israeli attack, Iran’s Foreign Ministry respected the memory of martians and emphasized that it would not erase the crimes and other atrocities committed by Israel against Iran and the local state.
“A year ago, on April 1, 2024, the Crime Zionist regime blatantly violated the fundamental principles of international law by attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, resulting in several civil anti-terrorist military advisers being injured and read the statement.
The department condemned the attack as a serious violation of the UN Charter and international treaties, protected the diplomats and blamed the UN Security Council for its failure to act due to Washington’s “destructive” impact.
He pointed out that Iran’s “Operation True Promise I” was carried out in self-defense against Israeli attacks.
The statement also criticizes Israel’s support for the western side and holds Western countries responsible for Tel Aviv’s continued violations.
On April 1 last year, Israel targeted the Iranian embassy complex in Damascus, Syria, in an airstrike, and destroyed the building that houses its consular department. The attack killed 16 people, including eight Iranian military advisers.
In retaliation, the Islamic Revolution bumped into the occupied territory on April 13th, defining the mission as “the true promise of operations.”
