Mohammad Mahdi Imanipur, head of Islamic Cultural Communications Organization, met with Bishop Cyril Nakonechny and Bishop Danilovsky of Ribinsk, Ribinsk, Kazan, Russia, to announce that Iran will host the 13th round of Christian Consultation for the Islamic Church.
Imanipour highlighted the normal completion of 12 previous lectures between Islam and Orthodox Christianity, highlighting that the 13th round will soon be held in Iran.
He expressed his hope that the next round, chaired by Metropolitan Cyril, could provide solutions for the effective existence of religion and spirituality in the future multipolar world.
Commenting on the role of religion in human life, he said there is a need for a reevaluation of the modern world being held in Iran by experts and researchers in collaboration with eight other countries. He said the findings would explain how religion and spirituality can engage with an emerging future world.
He also mentioned the Palestinian issue and the crimes of the Israeli regime, and called on followers of God’s religion to confront the explicit genocide of the Palestinians and forcibly evacuate them from their lands.
Meanwhile, Metropolitan Cyril said, unfortunately, today’s world is facing a fundamental identity and moral crisis.
It is our duty, he added, to actively communicate spiritual and ethical values to the next generation, in particular, and to protect these traditions against such challenges.
