Tehran – Iran is like a roofless museum in terms of cultural and historical assets and values, the country’s Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage said.
Ali Dharabi said that Iranian cultural heritage transcends national boundaries and includes cultural Iran, Ali Dharabi is working on the eighth gathering of Iranian collectors held in the hall of thinkers’ homes.
“Making collections has a people-oriented nature and is very important. Identifying, collecting, preserving and maintaining these collections is a complex process and requires a curiosity and value-oriented spirit. This act is a kind of knowledge and responsibility to maintain cultural assets.”
Pointing to the ancient connection between collection management and museum maintenance, he states: “In many cases, the purpose of creating a museum is to protect and display collections. In today’s world, where culture and its cultural differences have declined due to the increased increase in technology and globalization processes, collectors’ activities help maintain cultural and local identity, for industrial presence, for industry.
Finally, he said that collectors will help them maintain the cultural heritage of future generations, with the cooperation of museums, governments and international organizations.
