He made his remarks on Friday as he attended a high-level international conference on glacial preservation in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The meeting will be held from May 29th to 31st.
Climate change, biodiversity losses and environmental pollution are three major global challenges that threaten human health and the environment, according to Iran’s Vice President.
He praised the conference’s main objective, the effort to unite international efforts to develop effective strategies for preserving natural glaciers.
Regarding Iran’s water management, AREF highlighted extensive development projects such as dams, modern irrigation systems, recycling technologies, and desalination plants, along with efforts to maintain its historical structure.
AREF further mentioned Iran’s unique traditional water management system, particularly the construction of canuts, groundwater channels that prevent evaporation.
