Speaking at a ceremony attended by the families of the martyrs on Mother’s Day on Thursday afternoon, General Nasirzadeh recalled the 12-day invasion of Iran by the US-backed Israeli regime and said: “Thanks to God, all the damage done (during the 12-day war) has been repaired and the strength of the Ministry of Defense is even greater than before the war. This path will continue strong and without fault.”
The defense minister stressed the need to strengthen the country, adding: “Our enemies do not want Iran to become powerful. That is why they are assassinating our scientists and targeting our infrastructure. The only way to counter it is to become stronger in all areas.”
Elsewhere in his speech at the ceremony, he said resistance was the only way for the “justice front” to counter the “false front”.
He stressed that the Islamic Revolutionary Leader, who is the commander of all Iranian armed forces, is at the forefront of the “just front” in the fight against the “false front.”
