Alev made a speech at an economic council meeting in Tehran on Monday, where he mentioned three European countries’ attempts to restore UN Security Council sanctions on Iran. “Our country and various governments have worked well in the face of oppressive Western sanctions. Of course, we do not support the revival of sanctions. We hope that European countries will at least exercise some common sense and learn from their experiences of facing the government and people.”
The first vice president said, “We had the arms to Saddam during the war imposed on Germany for eight years, and Britain and France played a role in equipping Iranian enemies too, what did they achieve?
He emphasized that the Islamic institutions (Pezeshkian) government, and the people, are fully prepared for the plans of three European countries to restore sanctions by the Security Council.
“The 14th Government has been developing programs for special circumstances since the start of its work. But essentially, it believes that the country should be governed under normal conditions, but not only are there plans for these normal conditions, but there are programs for special circumstances, especially in the economic sector.”
“We are ready to stand up to oppressive actions towards our people and our nation. We are not war, but slight movements from our enemies will receive a critical response with our company.”
