“Today, the country is more secure, military preparedness has been strengthened and deterrence has increased. The enemy’s weaknesses are more obvious and we are ready to inflict even greater defeats on (the enemy),” Revolutionary Guards spokesman Ali Mohammad Naini said on Tuesday.
He was speaking at a rally to mark the Global Day of the Fight Against Hubris in Karaj.
The spokesperson referred to the 12-day war imposed by the Israeli regime and the United States in June, saying that the war was an American project, commissioned by the United States and carried out by the Zionist regime. “Iran stood alone against all of NATO and all of CENTCOM, and the enemy suffered a crushing defeat.”
General Naini stressed that “the 12-day war has shown that American politicians cannot be trusted, but the Iranian people are tactically aware and through unity have become a steel shield.”
He warned that the focus of post-war enemies was to undermine national unity.
He warned that “the enemy’s strategy is to build a narrative of victory in previous wars, targeting the economy, political stability, and public morale to keep Iran insecure and discouraged, and to stoke fears of new wars.”
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked invasion of Iran, sparking a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities in a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic locations throughout the occupied territories, as well as Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran successfully thwarted the invasion through successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
