“Of course, like everyone else, we hear very strict rhetoric… Naturally, Iranian authorities are taking the necessary preventive measures,” Peskov told reporters, Sputnik reported.
Russia is concerned about reports of Iranian forces being strongly wary, the spokesman added.
“This all leads to an increase in tension, and of course, in these situations, I believe the main thing is to focus on news that suggests possible contact. What is direct or indirect is not that important.
According to Dmitry Peskov, Chinese national president Xi Jinping will visit Russia separately, in addition to taking part in the celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of victory day.
“There will be another visit by Xi Jinping, but all (invited state leaders) will attend the event on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of their victory in the military parade,” Peskov said, answering questions about the visits of many states invited leaders to celebrate the 80th anniversary of their victory on May 9th.
Moscow has condemned the detention of employees of the Russian Foreign Ministry in France. This is unacceptable and violates its obligations under the Vienna Convention, Dmitry Peskov said.
“This (detention) is a completely unacceptable action. It contradicts all the duties of the French Republic under the Vienna Convention. The representative of Paris’ consular service was not permitted to see her for a long time,” Peskov told the representative.
The detention of Russian diplomats would further exacerbate relations between France and Russia, officials added that these relations have already been undermined by French authorities.
Earlier that day, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the French Border Agency had detained an employee of the Russian Foreign Ministry and confiscated computers and phone calls. The French ambassador to Moscow was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
