Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghhai has condemned the new war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in a new strike at Al Mamadani Hospital in Gaza. He called for serious action by relevant international authorities, including the United Nations, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in response to this terrible atrocity.
Referring to the ongoing genocide carried out by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the continued murder and torture of innocent Palestinians in the West Bank, Baghey highlighted the direct responsibility of these crimes in the regime’s financial and military supporters, particularly in the US, the UK and Germany. He highlighted the urgent need to end the immunity of Israeli criminal officials.
He noted that such atrocities will not be repeated today if the international community and associated international organisations, particularly the UN Security Council, WHO and ICRC, took effective measures against Israeli criminal attacks on Israeli Almamadani Hospital on October 17, 2023.
Baghaei further highlighted the intentional targeting of the Zionist regime of hospitals and medical centres in Gaza. He emphasized that the attack on Palestinian healthcare infrastructure was not only a serious violation of the 1949 Geneva Convention and International Humanitarian Law, but also part of a systematic plan for Palestinian genocide and erasure.
He concluded by stating that all governments, particularly Islamic countries, are obligated to halt these crimes and take necessary measures to ensure the prosecution and punishment of the criminal leaders of the Zionist regime.
