Tehran – Iranian ambassador and permanent representative of Ali Baleini’s UN office in Geneva has urged the International Commission of the Red Cross (ICRC) to explicitly condemn Israel’s attack on Iran.
In a meeting with ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, Bahreini emphasized that the ICRC is an observer and administrator of the Geneva Convention, and that it must be transparently recognized and condemned Israeli attacks on Iran as a violation of international law.
Referring to the number of murders or wounded, authorities said under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran has the right to self-defense and will do so as long as the Zionist regime continues to attack.
Spoljaric Egger expressed his deep sadness and sympathy for the victims, saying, “The International Committee of the Red Cross has never been ignored as it is today. We are doing our best to reduce tensions as much as possible.
