Tehran – During a trip to Iran, the principal of Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC) Essa Hamza added that his presence is a turning point in the interrelationship between Iran and Kuwait, and that a new chapter in international cooperation will begin.
Hamza visited the head of the tour and car club of Mohammad Hossein Sufi, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tehran.
Expressing his satisfaction with his presence in Iran, Hamza said, “The Sufis are not only the head of a successful club, but also an honorable friend and a real brother.”
Soufi has published a comprehensive report on the history, activities and outcomes of tours and auto clubs in areas such as issuing documents and international certificates, automotive support, tourism and promotion of cultural gatherings.
Hamza congratulated the new appointment within the structure of the Federation International Dell Motorcycle (FIA) and emphasized the use of enormous capabilities to promote connections on both sides.
Hamza praised Iran’s position in the FIA agency, saying that tours and car clubs in Iran’s Islamic Republic are one of the FIA’s most important and influential members.
He said, “I have been in charge of the Kuwait International Automobile Club (KIAC) for 30 years. It’s my first time coming to Iran. I’m acknowledging that I hadn’t traveled this 20 years ago.”
He said: “Now under the leadership of Mohammad Hossein Sufi, we are witnessing the professional, progressive and influential activities of Iranian clubs in all areas.”
During the meeting, both sides emphasized promoting cooperation in holding international meetings, exchanging know-how from the auto racing and tourism sectors, and providing special services to each other’s tourists.
Pointing to the growing interest of Kuwaiti citizens in their trip to Iran, Hamza said: “Given our research, Iran has become a more attractive destination for tourists in Kuwait.”
He called food, weather, nature and proximity as the benefits of travel to Iran for Kuwait people, predicting that many Kuwait would choose Iran to spend their vacation in the coming summer.
The Sufis highlighted the role of the media in introducing car club operations.
“We have established extensive connections between the domestic media and the International Automobile Federation media, which has made the Iranian Association’s activities visible on a global level. In this regard, we would like to have extensive media cooperation in this direction as the FIA’s Vice President of Mobility.”
Hamzah welcomed the proposal, saying, “We frequently pursue news from the Iranian Auto Club of FIA Media. We know that Iranian people are interested in the media and are pursuing their activities.”
Expressing his satisfaction in the memorandum of understanding that kept tours and car clubs in Iran in the Islamic Republic in the near future, he called it an effective measure in promoting future cooperation.
He warned of the use of fake calnets by Kuwait car owners and sought help to prevent this violation.
