Hassan Salary, head of Iran’s space agency and deputy minister of ICT, confirmed that a series of domestic and international satellite launches would be implemented in the Persian calendar year (2025-2026) in 1404 (2025-2026), including the launch of Simoo and optimized Simoog satellites and Zoljanah and Qaem 100 launch vehicles.
He revealed that satellites Zafar and Paya are scheduled for 1403, but their launch has been delayed and is currently being rescheduled in 1404.
Salary also said that both the test and operational launches of the martian Soleimani satellite constellations are planned for 1404 and 1405. According to him, the Nahid-2 satellite is expected to be released in 1404 using both domestic and international launch vehicles.
He also said that the first phase of three phases of the Chabahar Space Base, a major national infrastructure project, is expected to be completed in 1405.
Additionally, Salarier pointed out that Iran is currently designing advanced biological capsules of 500 kg and 1,500 kg. The larger capsules are built to transport humans into space.
He added that Iran is building a class Wanton Satellite Research Institute, and 60% of the physical infrastructure has already been completed.
