Speaking during Sunday’s cabinet session, AREF emphasized that Iran has always moved within the framework and designated a governance strategy in the face of sanctions imposed on the country.
He said that European countries (UK, France, Germany) do not have the authority to evoke a snapback mechanism.
When the snapback mechanism is triggered, Iran will make the necessary decisions proportionately, he emphasized.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the first vice president pointed out that President Pezeschkian would be present in China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Agency (SCO) summit.
“Participating in the SCO Summit, an important summit, follows the same path and strategy of multilateral relations and serious participation in regional unions that have achieved good results over the past year,” he said.
He added, “It is on the agenda of both countries that attendance at the SCO summit provides a good opportunity for bilateral meetings with senior Chinese officials, not only to develop and integrate engagement relationships with Tehran, but also to strengthen past cooperation on cultural and historical commonalities between the two governments and the nation.”
He then mentioned the brutal and inhumane attacks of the Zionist regime on Yemeni leaders and officials, and expressed the sadness of many members of the Yemeni government’s cabinet against the martial religion.
On August 28, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement Thursday denounced three European countries for launching a process of snapback mechanisms to return Iran’s UN sanctions.
