Top Iranian diplomats in China to attend the 25th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of SCO countries spoke on phone with Malaysian responders on Tuesday to discuss issues of bilateral connections and mutual benefits.
Pointing to a recent meeting with the Malaysian Prime Minister on bystanders of the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, highlighted the need to take effective measures to follow up on the bilateral agreement on the development and expansion of relations between the two countries.
During the call, Iranian leaders and Malaysian diplomats expressed interest in continuing discussions and consultations on bilateral relations and delicate development in the Western Asia region.
The Malaysian Foreign Minister said Malaysia places great importance on Iran’s relations with the Islamic Republic in all areas.
Mohamed Hasan invited his Iranian counterpart to visit Kuala Lumpur for the earliest convenience.
The 25th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of SCO Member States was launched on Tuesday in the Chinese port city of Tianjin.
