Esmail Baghaei said on Wednesday that the meeting will be held at the level of political supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Istanbul, Turkey.
The main topic of the conference is to continue consultations with Germany, the UK and France, particularly on indirect negotiations with Iran.
Iran and the European troika have so far negotiated three rounds of talks on Iran’s nuclear file.
Previously, a new talks between Iran and Europe were planned to take place in Rome on April 30th.
However, the postponement of that round also delayed the meeting with Europe.
Friday’s meeting follows the fourth round of Sunday’s talk between Tehran and Washington through Oman.
The 2015 deal includes a so-called “snapback” mechanism. This allows parties to automatically revive UN sanctions on Iran over non-compliance.
That option expires in October, but some European officials have threatened to activate the mechanism.
Iran repeatedly warned that activating the snapback mechanism would have serious consequences.
