During the call, two foreign ministers discussed issues of bilateral relations, recent international developments, and mutual benefits.
Araguchi pointed out that Iran places great importance on the development of relations with Latin American countries, including Nicaragua, and emphasized the need to pursue implementation of the previously engraved agreement between Tehran and Managua.
He also pointed to existing challenges for peace and the rule of law at the international level and the use of conceptual tools such as human rights that put pressure on developing countries, highlighting the need for cooperation and synergy of oriented countries to tackle these challenges.
Nicaragua’s Foreign Minister said on his part that the Nicaraguan government is determined to strengthen relations with Iran’s Islamic Republic in all bilateral and multilateral areas.
Valdrack Jaentschke pointed to the importance of greater cooperation between South American countries to overcome the challenges faced earlier.
