In a call on Friday, President Pezeshkian expressed his sadness to Pakistan Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif, acknowledging the historical and fraternal relations between the two countries. He highlighted Iran’s commitment to working together and providing support in all ways to support individuals and communities affected by Pakistan.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude for the sympathy from the Iranian government and the people, highlighting the importance of this gesture as evidence of deep-rooted friendship and solidarity between the two countries. He emphasized that Iran and Pakistan will always stand up to each other during challenging times and continue doing so.
The two leaders also agreed to meet in person to discuss and move forward with bilateral and multilateral agreements during the Shanghai Cooperative Organization Summit in China.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif requested President Pezeshkian to give a warm greeting to the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei and the noble people of Iran.
