Iran’s Foreign Ministry official Seyed Abdullasor Mohajah Hejaj said on Sunday during the final stages of the Tehran Aprin Dry Port Terminal’s inauguration on Sunday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide facilities in Bandar Abbas.
Emphasizing Iran’s transport capabilities, Hejaj highlighted Iran’s potential role as a logistics hub connecting regional states.
He explained that some northern neighbors, including Central Asian countries, Caucasian countries such as Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, and Caucasian countries such as Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, lack access to the open ocean, including Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, will be able to access Bandar Abbas through Iran’s transport networks.
He added that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, led by Minister Farzane Sadegu, is ready to provide the necessary support to these countries in Bandar Abbas.
Hejaj said the United Arab Emirates could take advantage of Iran’s safe, close and efficient routes to access Central Asia.
He also shared positive news that the Chabahar Zahedan Railway will be completed and operational by the end of this year, marking a key milestone in Iran’s transportation infrastructure.
He further stated that major Chinese freight trains have moved to the project site, marking the onset of operational logistics and highlighting the transition from promise to action.
Hejazi concluded by stating that the development was a positive move under President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration and demonstrated a serious driving force to strengthen regional relations and Iran’s transportation infrastructure.
