Speaking to reporters on the sidelines at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, government spokesman Fateme Mohajelani stressed that there was no censorship on the case and reaffirmed the administration’s obligation to maintain transparency and public accountability.
To avoid conflicting reports of victims and other details, the spokesman said it was decided that the Minister of Home Affairs or the head of the crisis management organization would provide official updates directly from the site.
