Agents for the Iranian Army Islamic Republic’s operations said that by utilizing existing air defense systems and replacing damaged systems, the country can maintain full coverage of its airspace and ensure Iran’s air security.
Admiral Mahmoud Musavi said to the achievements of the military and military during the recent 12 days of war, “The first targets of Zionist enemies in this imposed war were our radar and air defense systems.
Referring to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime during the war, Musabi said, “The Zionist regime launched a coronavirus attack on Iranian soil and had a concrete goal in doing so.”
He emphasized the air defense capabilities of the country by saying, “part of the damage that Zionist enemies, which were intended to destroy Iran’s air defense capabilities, was damaged in this war, thanks to the efforts of our comrades, and the damaged systems were acquired and deployed in place.”
“We were able to restore airspace coverage using existing systems, deploy new exchanges and secure the airspace of our beloved Iran. Therefore, despite our desperate efforts, our enemy failed to achieve our goal,” he added.
Musabi also pointed out that the Zionist enemy did not act alone in the war, saying, “The United States and NATO supported the Zionist regime. The capabilities of Iran’s military far surpassed what an illegitimate Zionist regime could face.
“The Iranian state stood by its military and demonstrated unbreakable unity. Just as during the eight-year sacred defense, we once again showed that our enemy could not win against Iran,” he concluded.
The Zionist regime fought a war of attack on Iran on June 13, attacking Iranian troops, nuclear and residential areas for 12 days, but the US carried out a military attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, Natanz, Fordou and Isfahan on June 22.
Iranian troops carried out a powerful counterattack shortly after the attack. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Aerospace Force implemented 22 waves of retaliation missiles against the Zionist regime as part of Operation True Promise III, which caused significant losses to cities throughout the occupying territories.
In response to the US attack, Iranian forces fired waves of missiles at Aldead Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
The battle was stopped due to a ceasefire that came into effect on June 24th.
