Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran’s atomic energy agency, said on Saturday there had been some progress in ongoing indirect negotiations with the US.
He also rejects the idea of ”zero enrichment” and calls such arguments merely rhetoric, aimed primarily for the use of the Zionist community.
Earlier on Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said Tehran’s position in nuclear negotiations with Washington was centered on “refusing to control.”
He said that while there is much to say about enrichment as one of the country’s essential needs, Iran’s position in negotiations focuses on fundamentally refusing to control.
He made sure Iran refused nuclear weapons.
“They have no right to deprive the Iranian state of justice simply because of their concerns,” Aragut argued.
He concluded that Iran would advance strength and follow the leadership of the Islamic Revolution.
Iran and the US held talks for the fifth round of Tehran’s nuclear program in Rome’s Italian capital on Friday. Just like in the previous round, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut and President Donald Trump’s regional mission, Steve Witkov, led the negotiation delegation in consultation.
Iran repeatedly emphasizes that it does not show slight flexibility on the right side, which enriches uranium under any circumstances.
