Iran called for a UN Security Council meeting, calling on a 15-member group to “deal with this blatant and illegal act of aggression.”
Speaking at the meeting, Irabani said Iran defended itself while the US supports terrorism in the region.
He further emphasized that the US claims against Iran were not true, not legal, but political. The US action to assassinate Martialist Qassem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s IRGC Quds force, was a terrorist act, and he was the official force of the Islamic Republic.
The US attacks are not without reason, but were implemented due to the actions and decisions of Europe, the UK, France and Germany, as well as the biased actions of the IAEA Director. While Iran was preparing for another diplomatic talks, the Zionist regime engaged in an attack on Iran before negotiations for another round began, Irabani stressed.
“Our Foreign Minister was negotiating and discussing with the European troika when this American action destroyed the negotiations. How can Iran return to the negotiation table when he does not leave it?”
As an independent and peace-loving nation, Iran has repeatedly warned the US administration of war to avoid falling into this quagmire, “Now, Iran reserves its legal and full rights under international law, and the missionary ability of the United States and its missionary ability, mutual response, will be determined by our military.”
