Major General Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard, warned Israel of an overwhelming response if it failed, saying it served as a historical lesson.
Major General Hossein Salami emphasized that the Islamic Republic will respond more forcefully than its previous true promised operations.
Speaking to Iranian state broadcasting station (IRIB), Salami said, “If Zionists are making even minor mistakes, they will be a lesson in history.”
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines at Wednesday’s Cabinet session, Iran’s defense minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh responded to tension.
“On behalf of Iran and the people of the military, I say that God will be happy to say that consultations will result, but if that doesn’t end and if the conflict is placed on us, the other victims will definitely be much heavier than our victims.”
He added, “In the case of a conflict, the US has to leave the area as all the bases are within our range and we will target all of them in the host country.”
