According to this figure, Iran produced 3.3 million tons of steel in October 2025, returning to seventh place among the world’s largest steel producers.
Iran’s steel production in October recorded a 12% increase compared to the same period last year.
Iran produced an average of 25.4 million tons of steel products in the first 10 months of this year (January-October 2025), down 1% year-on-year, the report added.
Iran ranked seventh in the world in terms of steel production in March, April, and May 2025, but fell to 10th in June and remained in this position until September.
The world’s three largest steel producers in October were China, India, and the United States, followed by Japan, Russia, South Korea, Iran, Turkey, Germany, Brazil, and Iran.
The World Steel Association added that Iran ranks 61st in steel production in West Asia.
