Tehran – Iran’s election headquarters has announced that midterm election candidate registration for the rally of experts from South Khorasan and East Azarbaijan will be held from March 1st to March 6th.
Registration must be completed directly at the Governor’s Offices of Tabriz and Birjand and at the election headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In an interview with Tasnim News, Mohsen Eslami, a spokesman for the National Elections Headquarters, provided an update on the medium-term council and village council elections, as well as city and village council elections.
“We are currently overseeing the midterm election enforcement process for the 12th Congress of Tabriz, Azarshaal and Osk constituencies, saying.
According to Eslami, 223 candidates have been registered for the election. Their names have been submitted for background checks with five agencies: Intelligence Ministry, IRGC Intelligence Agency, Law Enforcement Command (Farraja), Civil Registration Agency and Judicial. These entities will have a 10-day response, after which the results will be forwarded to the Executive Committee of Tabriz for further review.
Eslami emphasized that all election processes are moving forward according to the official timeline, and that the Guardian Council’s Central Committee of Supervisors oversees every stage.
Speaking about midterm elections for expert gatherings, he confirmed:
“Midterm elections for the meeting of experts will be held in South Khorasan and East Azerbaijan. The executive committee overseeing the election process in these states will be formed between February 23rd and February 27th. All necessary communications with state election officials have already been completed.
The candidate registration period for expert election rally lasts for seven days from March 1st to March 6th. Registration will take place directly at the Governor’s Offices of Tabriz and Birjand and at the election headquarters of the Ministry of Home Affairs. . Authorities may also request that registration be facilitated at the QOM Governor’s office if necessary.
